If You Could Collaborate is the fourth annual If You Could exhibition. Aiming to provide a platform for the finest creatives from all over the world to question their conventional working methods and outcomes. The contributors have been challenged to produce something a little unexpected, by working with a partner of their choosing from any discipline, profession or background. There is no brief to answer, or format to honour – the only limit being the enterprise and imagination of the artists involved, and a liberal 12 month deadline. Below are all of the pairings, and their outcomes.
Bryan Dalton and Alex Harris make up Rainbow Dropshadow, and the studio’s work is as vibrant as their name suggests. An incredibly confident use of colour, and the wherewithal to produce some really interesting moving image make for a good combination. Although still relatively new to the game, Alex and Bryan are not only creators, but facilitators and directors who recently published their own zine, Hippy Shit, calling in work from top creatives the world over.
Contributors to their zine, A Nice Idea Everyday, were given the challenge of making the second half of a short film started by Bryan and Alex, based around a physical smiley faced character.
